Our Services

Our Fourth Trimester Care Packages and consult services are much more extensive than any postpartum management in the standard medical system.  Typically after the birth of your child, you will not have a followup appointment with your physician or midwife until 6 weeks postpartum.  We go much beyond that with the option of a prenatal visit to discuss postpartum preparation followed by 5 postpartum visits.  All within the comfort of your own home.  Imagine instead of sitting in the waiting room of a busy clinic, you are snuggled up in your own bed, with a cup of tea and skin to skin with your babe while we come to you.  We will spend the time addressing your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health, ensuring you feel fully supported during this transition in addition to addressing the needs of your infant.

While also caring for the needs of you (the mother/birthing person), our physicians will also see your baby in the comfort of your home.  Visits will be extended to much longer (60+ min) than the standard clinic visit (10-15 min) to ensure that all your questions are answered and baby’s needs are addressed.  We take an integrative approach, taking into account the physical, environmental, social, spiritual and emotional influences that may be affecting your baby’s growth and development.  We are also able to provide in home treatment for jaundice/elevated bilirubin levels with a phototherapy bed in your home, allowing you to leave the hospital sooner or prevent repeat hospitalization.

No matter how you choose to feed your baby, you deserve the support you need to achieve your goals. During your prenatal visit, we will discuss your goals and assess for any risk factors that may have an impact.  If planning to breastfeed/bodyfeed, our physicians can provide full support and education for basic lactation issues, in addition to assessment (including laboratory tests or imaging studies) and treatment if needed for more complex issues (including laboratory testing, imaging studies, prescribing medication, herbs or supplements and/or doing procedures such as treating a breast abscesses, performing a frenotomy for treatment of tongue tie, or using therapeutic ultrasound for inflamed tissue or clogged ducts) .  We can also provide support for re-lactation for those looking to lactate again after stopping or inducing lactation for non-gestational/adoptive parents.

Besides our Fourth Trimester Package services, we also provide individual consults for lactation complications, tethered oral tissues (tongue ties), perinatal mental health, integrative fertility and loss support, and partner support.  See our service offerings below.
