Insurance & Payment Information
At Fourth Trimester Doc®, we welcome all patients, regardless of insurance status.
Partial Insurance Coverage
Our partnerships with The Lactation Network (TLN) and Wildflower Health let us bill insurance for IBCLC-level services, but do not cover physician fees (when applicable) or drive fees. For the IBCLC level care, it is fully covered with no cost sharing, which means no copays and does not go towards the deductible.
– How it Works: If accepted by TLN or Wildflower, the IBCLC-level portion of your visit will be fully covered.
– Benefits of Using: Lower out-of-pocket costs & convenience of having your insurance billing handled.
Wildflower Health accepts the following insurance plans: Cigna and HealthPartners
TLN accepts the following insurance plans, contingent on approval: Humana PPO, VA OptumEast, Premera, Regence, UnitedHealthcare (PPO and HMO), UMR, Oxford, Cigna (on a case-by-case basis), and any plan with the MultiPlan or PNOA logo on the insurance card.
You can check your insurance coverage with no obligation below. Please keep in mind that approval with TLN and Wildflower Health only provides partial coverage and does not cover our physician fees or drive fees.
In-Network Insurance
We are now in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN (BCBS) and are accepting BCBS plans.
We can verify eligibility before care begins; however, coverage and benefit details vary by individual plan. Final reimbursement amounts are determined by BCBS once claims have been submitted and processed, and we are unable to guarantee coverage in advance. Any portion not covered by insurance is the patient’s responsibility.
Drive fees are billed separately and are not covered by insurance.
If you have questions or would like to use your in-network benefits, please contact us.
Claims & Reimbursements
After your visit(s), we will provide a superbill upon request for insurance reimbursement.
- Reimbursify: We recommend using Reimbursify to help with your claim submission. Many of our patients find they can be reimbursed for a significant portion of their costs, especially after meeting their deductibles related to childbirth.
- Preventative Care Coverage: Our postpartum, lactation, and newborn services are considered preventative care. Check with your insurance provider to see how this applies to you.
Payment Options
We accept the following payment methods:
- ACH Transactions
- Credit Cards
- HSA/FSA (Please check with your human resources department regarding the use HSAs & FSAs as payment options.)
